A Dream is a Wish

My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies Needed:

*Tube of choice. I used the gorgeous fantasy artwork of Zindy S.D Nielsen which can be purchased on her website. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so. Visit Zindy's website HERE

Let's Begin--

Open a 650 X 650 White Canvas.

Open the template in PSP. Shift+D to duplicate it and close the original. Delete the top layer and the frame layer.

Select the circle layer. Selections-Select All, Selections-Float, Selections-Defloat, open a paper of choice in PSP, copy and paste it onto your canvas. Selections-Invert, Delete. Delete the circle layer from the template. Repeat these steps for the 3 rectangle layers as well.

Open the frame from the freebie add-on kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas and resized it by 80%. Grab your magic wand and click inside the frame and hold down your shift key and make sure to click inside the little whole on the other side of the wrapped ribbon part of the frame as well. Selections-Modify-Expand by 5. Copy and paste another paper of choice from the kit. Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Move the paper layer below the frame layer.

Open your tube of choice, copy and paste it underneath the frame, resize if needed and erase parts that are sticking outside of the frame. Add a drop shadow to the tube and the frame. Close off your background layer, your circle paper layer, and your rectangle paper layers and merge visible. (Your merged layer should be your frame, paper and tube. Rotate it to the left by 15 degrees and place to the center top left part of the tag, use my tag as a reference.

Add any other elements of choice from the kit. I added the crown, the slipper, the stop watch, and the magic wand. Resize them, position them, and add a drop shadow to each one.

Open the tag & key. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 80%. Rotate it to the right by 90 degrees, mirror it, and rotate it again to the right about 15-17 degrees until it is straight. (You can rotate it to however you would like as well). Add a drop shadow to it. Add text of choice to it.

Add the text of choice you wish to add to the rectangles. I added "A dream is a wish your heart makes" and I added a slight gradient glow to each one to make the text a bit more visible.

Open a different paper of choice from the kit. With your background layer active, copy and paste it onto your canvas. Apply the mask and merge group.

I also added a few stars from the kit on a layer right above the paper circle layer.

Add your artist copyright information.

If you wish to add noise, I just selected the layer I wanted to sparkle, went to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise and changed the number to 90. I did this to each layer that I wanted to sparkle and then, copy merged, paste into AS as a new animation. Went back to PSP, undo all of those until all the nose is gone, and go that all over again only changing the number to 85. Then went back to AS, paste after current frame. Back to PSP, same thing only changed the number to 80, back to AS paste after current frame, check animation, save as gif.
