Elias Babes
My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop
Pro!
Supplies Needed:
*Paint
Shop Pro
*Font
of choice
*DSB Flux Bright Noise
*Eye Candy 4000
Gradient Glow (optional)
*Template #176 by Missy HERE
*"Tooty Frooty" PTU scrap kit by Twinky which is available for purchase at Stargazer Scraps and Totally Sweet Designs
*Tube of choice. I
am using the awesome artwork of Elias Chatzoudis which can be purchased at MPT. Please do not use
the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.
Let's Begin--
Open the template in PSP, hit
Shift+D to duplicate it then close the original. Delete the credit layer.
Click on rectangle1 layer of the template. Go to selections-Select All, Float,
Defloat, open a paper of choice from the kit, copy and paste it onto your
canvas, Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Delete original rectangle 1 layer.
Click on the rectangle layer that you just made with the paper, go to
Selections-Select All, Float, Defloat, copy and paste a tube of choice and
position how you want it. Go to Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Add a drop
shadow to the tube, change the layer properties to luminance legacy. Merge down
the tube layer and the paper rectangle layer.
Go to Effects-PlugIns-Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow, change the glow width to 3,
click on the color tab and choose fat and click ok. Add a drop shadow.
Repeat the above steps with the rest of the rectangles in the template. I
alternated papers, see my tag for reference.
Click on the words layer. Selections-Select All, Float, Defloat, Add a new
raster layer, Flood fill the letters with colors matching the kit. I alternated
colors as shown in my tag. Selections-Select None. Delete original words layer
of the template.
Duplicate the layer twice. Close off the top two copies of the layer. Go to
Effects-PlugIns-DSB Flux-Bright Noise, change the number to 75, click ok. Add
the same gradient glow and drop shadow.
Repeat the above step for the other 2 copies of the words. Each time you do the
DSB Flux Bright Noise filter, you need to click on mix a couple of times to make
it different. When you are finished, make sure the original copy of the words
layer is open and the 2 copies and closed.
Open your main tube of choice. It would work best with a tube that has the legs
opened so that you can make it look like she is stratteling the words, lol!
Copy and paste it onto your canvas, Add drop shadow, duplicate the layer and
move that original down below all of the words layers. Click on the top copy of
the tube and use your eraser brush to erase the part of the tubes leg on the
left that is overlapping the words.
Add a slight drop shadow to the other words "They Rock, They rule"
Add a couple of doodles from the kit behind everything on your tag.
Click on the background layer, copy and paste a paper of choice, apply a mask of
choice, merge group.
Add any other elements from the kit that you wish to add!
Add your name.
Crop and resize as needed.
Add copyright information.
Check the "Elias Babes" layers to make sure that the bottom one is open and the
top 2 are closed. Right click and copy merged.
Open Animation Shop. Right click and paste as new animation.
Go back to PSP, close off the bottom "Elias Babes" layer and open the second
one. Copy merged.
Go back to AS, right click and paste after current frame.
Go back to PSP, Close off the second "Elias Babes" layer and open the top one.
Copy merged.
Go back to AS, right click and paste after current frame.
Play your animation to check it then save as gif!
