Gun Powder and Lead

My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies Needed:

*Paint Shop Pro

*Animation Shop

*Filters Unlimited 2.0-Sandflower Specials-Pool Shadow

*Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

*2 Fonts of choice- I used Mistral and Copperplate Gothic Bold

*Tube of Choice. I used the sexy artwork of Armando Huerta which is available for purchase at MPT. Do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license.

Let's Begin--

Open a 600 X 550 White Canvas.

Set your background layer to a gradient that will match your tube. I used Metal Steel. Foreground null. Draw out a rectangle, use my tag as a reference for size. Convert to raster layer and move the the left middle. Duplicate this rectangle twice and place the other two next to the first one leaving a little bit of space in between each. To ensure they are aligned correctly, I always turn on my grid to check and reposition them, then turn it off once they are where I want them to be. Close off your background layer and merge visible these rectangle layers.

With your background set to white, and your foreground null, draw out a circle in the middle of your rectangles. Use my tag as a reference for size. Convert to raster layer.

Open your tube. Resize it, making it larger than it's original size. Copy and paste it onto your circle layer. Change the layer properties to overlay. Change the opacity of the circle layer to 44%

Copy and paste your tube in it's original size, or resize it smaller if needed, onto your canvas and position it to where you want it. Add a drop shadow of 0,0,88,8.

Add your text "What's a real woman made of?" or any text of choice in black along the sides of your rectangle, use my tag as a reference. I used the font Mistral for this text. Add the same drop shadow to your text.

Set your foreground to black, background to your gradient, and type the text "Gun Powder and Lead" or any other words of choice to the top of the rectangles. Use my tag as a reference. I used Copperplate Gothic Bold for this part. Add the same drop shadow.

Add your artist copyright, taggers mark, and name.

You can leave it like this if you want. To animate it, follow the rest of the steps.

Merge your "Gun Powder and Lead" and Name text together. Copy this layer twice, so that you have 3 layers. Close your top 2 copies of this layer. Make your bottom copy of this layer active.

Go to Filter's Unlimited 2.0-Sandflower Specials-Pool Shadow, add default settings. Close off this layer, open the next layer copy and make it active. Repeat the steps for the filter but change all of the settings to a slightly higher number. Close off this layer, open up the top copy of the layer and make it active. Repeat the steps for the filter again, but change all of the numbers to a lower number than the original number you used. Close off the top 2 copies and open the bottom copy of this layer.

Go to your rectangles layer. Duplicate this layer twice as well and repeat the steps with the filter above that you used on the text layer so that the rectangles have the same effect.

Open Animation Shop.

With only your bottom copies of the text layer and the rectangle layer open (all others closed), go to Edit-Copy Merged.

Go to AS and paste as new animation.

Back to PSP. Close off the bottom copies and open the next copies of these 2 layers. Edit-Copy Merged.

Go to AS and paste after current frame.

Back to PSP open up the top copies of these 2 layers, with the other copies closed, Edit-Copy Merged.

Go to AS and paste after current frame.

Check your animation to see if it works right. I changed the Animation Properties to 25 so that it moves a little bit slower, but it's up to you.

Save as gif and you are done :)
