Love Birds

My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies Needed:

*Paint Shop Pro

*Fat font of choice, I used Rockwell Extra Bold

*Mask of Choice

*Bracket Frame template HERE- this was made for me by Yarrow and is only to be used for this tutorial. Please do not share it.

*Tube of choice. I used the adorable artwork of Elias Chatzoudis  which is available for purchase from MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the license to do so!

Let's Begin--

Open a 600 X 600 White Canvas.

Open the bracket frame template provided in PSP. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 65%. Rotate it to the right by 20 degrees. Selections-Select All- Float-Defloat, Open a paper of choice from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas, Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Delete template layer.

Grab your magic wand, click inside the frame, Selections-Modify-Expand by 4. Open another paper of choice from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas, Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Move the paper layer below the frame layer. Add a drop shadow to the frame.

Open your tube of choice. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Drag it below the frame layer. Resize if needed. Use your eraser tool to erase the parts of the tube that are sticking out out the frame. Add a drop shadow to your tube. Go to Effects-Artistic Effects- Sepia Toning.

Open the cloud from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 40%, rotate it by 10 degrees to the left. Add a drop shadow. Move it to the top left hand corner of the frame. Open cloud 2 from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 40%, rotate it by 10 degrees to the right, place it in the top left hand corner next to the other cloud. Open one of the acrylic clouds, copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 50%, place it on top of the other 2 clouds.

Open the love word art, copy and paste it onto your canvas, resize it by 70%, place it on top of all of the clouds, add a drop shadow, rotate it by 15 degrees to the left. Add a drop shadow.

Open heart2 from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Rotate it by 55 degrees to the left. Move it to the top corner of the love word art, see my tag for reference.

Open the love birds from the kit. Copy and paste them onto your canvas. Resize them by 30-35%. Move them on top of the heart to make them stand on it. Add drop shadow.

Create a small flower bunch by opening up 2 flowers of your choice from the kit. Copy and paste one of them onto your canvas. Resize it by about 60%. Duplicate it a couple of times and mirror them or rotate them so they are all going in slightly different directions. Add another flower to the bunch in the same way, I used the growing heart. (See my flower bunch on my tag behind my name).

Open a paper of choice from the kit. Set it as pattern in your background. Set your foreground to a matching color from the kit. Grab your text tool, choose Rockwell Extra Bold (or another fat font of choice), set your stroke width to 3. Type out your name, convert to raster layer. Add a fat white gradient glow at size 3 if you want. Add a drop shadow. Place it at the bottom on top of your flower bunch. Use your eraser tool to erase the parts of your flower bunch that are sticking out at the bottom.

Add a couple of birds from the kit to each end of your name. I resized my birds by 35% and added a drop shadow.

Click on your background layer. Open another paper of choice from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas. Open your mask in PSP, go to Layers-New Mask Layer-From Image, choose the mask from the drop down menu, click ok. Merge group.

Add your copyright information.

Crop and resize if needed.

Save as jpg!
