Love Charms

My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies Needed:
*Paint Shop Pro

*Mask of Choice

*
Font of choice, I used Rhumba HERE

*"Rose Boudoir"
freebie scrap kit by Lisa of Sophisticated Scraps. You can download this kit from her blog
HERE. Please remember to leave her a comment showing appreciation for her talent and generosity in sharing kits like this with us for free :)

*Tube of Choice. I am using the beautiful fantasy artwork of Zindy S.D Nielsen. You can now purchase her tubes from her website
HERE. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.

Let's Begin--

Open a 650X650 White Canvas

Add a new raster layer. Set your foreground to a dark color from the kit and your background color to a light color from your kit. Click on your background color, go to gradient, and change it to foreground/background. Change the angle to 45 and the repeats to 3. Flood fill the new layer with the gradient. Apply mask, merge group. Resize mask by 90%. Go to Effects-3D Effects-Textures-Blinds and apply these settings:

Width:3

Opacity: 35

Color White

Horizontal and Light from left/top UNCHECKED

Go to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise. Set Noise to 50%, Uniform, Monochrome CHECKED.

Grab your rectangle tool, choose a color from the kit and set it to your foreground, background null, line width 25, and draw out a rectangle, use my tag as a reference for size. Objects-Align-Center in Canvas, convert to raster layer. Free Rotate 15 degrees to the right.

Grab your magic wand, click inside the rectangle. Selections-Modify-Expand by 2. Open a paper of choice from the kit. Copy and Paste it onto your canvas, Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Move the paper layer below the rectangle layer. With the paper layer active, copy and paste your tube onto your canvas. Free rotate 15 degrees to the right. Resize if needed and erase excess outside of the rectangle. Add a drop shadow of 0,0,88,8 to the tube and the rectangle. Change the tube layer properties to Multiply.

Add what ever other embellishments from the kit you wish to add. Be sure to add the same drop shadow to each one you use. Add any brushes behind everything in a dark color if you wish.

Add your name and artist copyright information. Crop and resize if needed.

Save as JPEG and you are done!
