Lucky Charm
My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro! Supplies Needed: *Paint Shop Pro *Animation Shop *Font of choice *"Lucky Charm" PTU kit by Clarey available for purchase HERE. Visit Clarey's blog HERE. *DSB Flux Bright Noise *Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow *Mask of Choice *Tube of choice. I used the sexy artwork of Keith Garvey which can be purchased at MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.
Let's Begin-- Open a 600 X 600 White Canvas. Open the post card frame from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas, Resize it by 80% and rotate it to the right by 15 degrees. Click inside the frame opening with your magic wand, Selections-Modify-Expand by 4, copy and paste a paper of choice from the kit, Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Move the paper layer below the frame layer. Open the circle word art from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 70% and move it on top of the opening part of the frame, add drop shadow. Copy and paste your tube of choice onto your canvas, place it over on top of the open part of the frame where you want it to be. Duplicate it. Close off the top copy and drag the original tube below the frame. Use your eraser tool to erase the parts of the tube that are sticking out of the frame like this:
Add a drop shadow of 0,0,88,8 to the tube after you are finished erasing. Now open back up the top copy of your tube and click on that layer. Use your eraser tool to erase all of the bottom part of the tube all the way to the bottom edge of the frame like this:
If you used the same tube or a similar tube you will need to erase the parts on the side as well to the side edge of the frame. Once you are done erasing, add the same drop shadow to this layer. Open the beaded wire from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas, resize it by 65%, add a drop shadow, and place it along the bottom of the frame. Open the pot of gold from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 50%, add a drop shadow and place it on your canvas where you would like or see my tag for reference. Open a swirl or doodle of choice from the kit. Click on your background layer and then copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 85%, rotate it to the right by 90, move it down the the bottom and add a drop shadow of 0,0,55,5. Duplicate it, flip it, then mirror it. Click on your background layer and then copy and paste a paper of choice from the kit. Apply your mask of choice and merge group. Add your text of choice and your name. Crop and resize the image how you want it. Add your artists copyright information. To Animate: Close off all of your layers except your name and text layer. Merge those 2 layers visible then open back up all of your layers. Click on the pot of gold layer and then grab your lasso tool, select around the gold area, then duplicate the layer twice. Click on the bottom copy and go to Effects-PlugIns-DSB Flux-Bright Noise, change the number to 75 and click on mix. Now click on the next copy of that layer and go back to Bright Noise and click on mix twice. Click on the top copy of that layer and go back to Bright Noise and click on mix twice again. Selections-Select None. Duplicate your merged name/text layer twice. Do the same thing with those 3 layers using Bright Noise that you just did with the pot of gold layers. Now click on each layer individually and apply these settings: Eye Candy 4000-Gradient Glow Glow Width: 3 Color: Fat Drop shadow of 0,0,88,8.
Close off the top 2 copies of the merged text layer and the pot of gold layer. Right click and choose copy merged. Open Animation shop, right click and paste as new animation. Back to PSP, close off the bottom copies of your merged text layer and your pot of gold layers. Open the second copies of each. Copy merged. Back to AS, paste after current frame. Back to PSP, close off those layers and open up the top copy of the merged text layer and the pot of gold layer. Copy merged. Back to AS, paste after current frame. Play your animation to check it, then save as gif!
