Poison

My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies Needed:

*Paint Shop Pro

*Animation Shop

*Font of choice

*DSB Flux Bright Noise

*"Thank You for the Venom" PTU kit by Yarrow available for purchase at Digital Chaos HERE. Please visit her blog HERE.

*Tube/Image of choice. I used the awesome artwork of Dark Yarrow available for purchase from MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.

Let's Begin--

Open a 700 X 550 white canvas.

Open one of the ripped open frames from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas.

Click inside the frame with your magic wand, go to Selections-Modify-Expand by 5, copy and paste a paper of choice from the kit, Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Move the paper layer below the frame layer. Add a drop shadow to the frame.

Open your tube or image of choice in PSP, click on the paper layer, copy and paste the tube or image onto your canvas, resize if needed or use the eraser tool to erase parts sticking out of the frame.

Open one of the flowers from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 40%, add a drop shadow, place it on the top left hand corner of the frame. Open another flower of a different color from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas, resize it by 40%, add a drop shadow, and place it underneath the other flower with a little part of it overlapping the first flower. Now Duplicate each flower one at a time and move them down making a straight line of flowers alternating colors along the left side of the frame, see my tag for reference.

Open one of the broken hearts from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 40%, add a drop shadow and move it on top of the flower row to the top, see my tag for reference. Duplicate it, mirror it, and move the mirrored one closer to the bottom on top of the flower row.

Open one of the poison bottles from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas, resize it by 70%, place it in the bottom right hand corner of the frame. Add a drop shadow.

Add a couple of doodles from the kit behind the frame. Resize them by 50%.

Open a paper of choice from the kit. Click on your background layer then copy and paste the paper onto your canvas. Apply a mask of choice.

Crop and resize if need.

Add text of choice, name, and copyright information.

Save as jpg or if you want to animate, follow these instructions:

Grab your lasso tool and select the areas of the bottle that you want to animate. With that selected, duplicate the bottle twice, close off the 2 duplicates, click on the original. Go to DSB Flux Bright Noise, change the number to 55 and click mix, close off this layer, open the next one, apply DSB Flux Bright Noise again but click mix again. Close off this layer and open the next one, apply DSB Flux Bright Noise but click mix twice, close off the layer, open back up the original.

Copy Merged.

Open AS, paste as new animation.

Back to PSP. Close bottom copy of layer, open middle copy of layer, copy merged.

Back to AS, paste after current frame.

Back to PSP, close middle copy of layer, open top copy of layer, copy merged.

Back to AS, paste after current frame.

Save as gif!
