Rock Slut

My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies Needed:

*Paint Shop Pro

*Animation Shop

*Font of choice

*DSB Flux Bright Noise

*grungy mask of choice

*"Rock Slut" PTU kit by Fi's Fault Scraps available for purchase at Digital Chaos. Please visit her blog HERE.

*Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Tyson McAdoo of MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.

Let's Begin--

Open a 600 X 600 White Canvas.

Open a frame of choice from the kit. Copy and paste it as a new layer on your canvas. Rotate it to the right by 90 degrees. Resize it by 85%.

Grab your magic wand and click inside the frame. Go to Selections-Modify-Expand by 3, add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a light color from the tube. Selections-Select None. Drag the flood filled layer below the frame layer.

Copy and paste your tube/image of choice onto the flood filled layer. Resize if needed and use the eraser tool to erase the parts that are sticking out of the frame. Change the layer properties to Luminance Legacy, lower the opacity to about 45.

Open a ribbon eyelet of choice. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 50%, rotate it to the right by 15 degrees. Add a drop shadow. Duplicate it, mirror it, and they should now be crossed like shown in my tag. Merge Down those 2 layers. Duplicate it a couple of times and move it down along the side of the frame like shown in my tag.

Copy and paste your main tube of choice onto your canvas. Resize if needed and add drop shadow.

grab your preset shape tool and choose one of the music notes. Change your foreground color to black and your background color to a light color that matches your tag, I used a light grey color, change the line width to 2. Draw out a music note, use my tag for reference of size. Duplicate it and place it somewhere else on the tag. Add another music note from your preset shapes in the same way. See my tag for reference.

Close off all of your layers except the music note layers and merge visible. Open all of your layers.

Grab your magic wand and hold your shift key down and click inside all of the music notes. With them all selected, duplicate the music notes layer twice. Click on the bottom copy and go to Effects-Plug Ins-DSB Flux-Bright Noise, change the number to about 55, and click ok. Click on the next copy and repeat DSB flux but click the mix button. Click on the last copy and repeat the above steps but click then mix button twice. Selections-Select None. Close off your 2 copies of the music notes layer.

Open a paper of choice from the kit. Click on your background layer and then copy and paste the paper on your canvas. Apply a mask of choice and merge group.

Add your name and copyright information.

Crop and resize if needed.

Right click and choose Copy Merged.

Open Animation Shop, right click and paste as new layer.

Go back to PSP, close off the bottom copy of the music notes layer and open the next copy. Copy merged.

Go back to AS, right click and paste after current frame.

Go back to PSP, close that layer and open the last copy of the music notes layer. Copy Merged.

Go back to AS, paste after current frame.

Check your animation then save as gif!
