My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies Needed:

*Paint Shop Pro

*Font of choice

*"Dear Diary" PTU kit by Clarey available for purchase at Clarey's Designz HERE. Visit her blog HERE

*Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow-optional

*Tube of choice. I used the gorgeous artwork of Elias Chatzoudis which can be purchased at MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.

Let's Begin--

Open a 650 X 650 White Canvas.

Open the round acrylic frame from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas, resize it by 65%, click inside it with your magic wand, go to Selection-Modify-expand by 5, open a paper of choice from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas, go to Selections-Invert, then hit your delete key. Selections-Select None. Move the paper layer below the frame layer. Click on your frame layer, add a drop shadow of 0,0,88,8. Merge down (the frame and the paper only). Move it over the right and then up a little bit (see my tag for reference).

Open one of the rectangle acrylic frames from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas, resize it by 60%, click inside with your magic wand, go to Selections-Modify-Expand by 5, open a paper of choice from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas, go to Selections-Invert, hit your delete key, Selections-Select None. Move the paper layer below the frame layer, add a drop shadow of 0,0,88,8 to the frame then merge down the layers (the rectangle frame and it's paper only). Move it down a little bit and to the right but leave the left side of it on top of the circle frame that is already there. See my tag for reference.

Repeat the above steps again with the same round acrylic frame except this time, resize it down by 40%. Once you had added your paper, drop shadow, and merged those 2 layers together then move it down to the bottom right hand corner of the rectangle frame like shown in my tag.

Open one of the word art background from the kit. Click on your background layer, then copy and paste it onto your canvas. You shouldn't need to resize it. Move it up a little bit so that it shows more above the frames.

With your word art layer selected, open the glitter cluster from the kit and then copy and paste it onto your canvas.

Now open one of the heart swirls from the kit and then copy and paste it on top of the glitter cluster.

Open one of the hearts on wire from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it by 80%, add drop shadow, and move it along the right hand side on top of your small round frame.

Open one of the button strings from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Place it where you wish or add it as shown in my tag. Add drop shadow.

Open one of the locks from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas, resize by 80%, add drop shadow, duplicate it then move the original lock layer below the button layer. Click on the lock layer that is above the button layer. Use your eraser tool to erase a very small part of it that is overlapping the string to give the lock the appearance of hanging off the string, see my tag for reference.

Open a key of choice from the kit. Resize it down to about 35%, and move it where you would like it or you could repeat the above steps like we did with the lock to make it look like it is also hanging off the string, as shown in my tag.

Open your tube of choice in PSP, copy and paste it onto your canvas, add drop shadow and place it where you wish!

Add text and name of choice. I used some of the word art from the kit!

Crop and resize as needed.

Add artist's copyright!

Save as jpg!
