Shiver Me Timbers
My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!
*Paint Shop Pro *Animation Shop *mask of choice Open a 650X650 White Canvas. Open a paper of choice from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Open the mask in PSP, Go to Layers-New Mask Layer-From Image, choose the mask from the drop down menu and apply. Merge Group. Resize by 90%. Open frame 10 from the freebie-add on kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize by 80%. Open another paper from the kit, Click inside the frame with your magic wand, Selections-Modify-Expand by 10. Copy and paste the paper, Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Move paper below frame. Add a drop shadow to the frame. Open the treasure chest from the kit, copy and paste onto your canvas, resize as needed, add a drop shadow, move to the bottom left hand corner-see my tag for reference. Or you can place it wherever you would like. Add a couple more elements from the kit and add a drop shadow to each one. Open one of the pergament papers of choice. Copy and paste onto your canvas, resize by 50%, rotate to the left about 10 to 25 degrees and add a drop shadow. Add the "Shiver Me Timbers" word art to the top. You may need to resize it by 50% or so and rotate to the left by 10 degrees. Add a drop shadow. Add your tube to the middle, resize if needed and add a drop shadow. Add your name onto the pergament paper and rotate it the same way the paper is. Add a drop shadow. Add your artist copyright information. Crop and resize your tag if needed. You can save it as a jpg here, if you want to animate follow these steps. Take your freehand selection tool and draw around the coins of the treasure chest. Once they are all selected, go to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise, and change it to 95%, Random and Monochrome selected and apply. Selections-Select None. Copy merged. Open Animation Shop. Paste as New Animation. Go back to PSP. Go to Edit undo and keep undo-ing the last steps until the noise is gone but the coins are still selected. Go to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise, and change the number to 90 leaving everything else the same. Selections-Select None. Copy Merged. Go back to Animation shop, paste after current frame. Go back to PSP, repeat the undo steps again until the noise is gone but the coins are still selected. Go back to add noise and change the number to 85. Selections-Select None. Copy Merged. Go back to Animation shop and paste after current frame. Check animation and if you are satisfied, save as gif!
