Sugar High

My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies:
*Paint Shop Pro

*Font of Choice

*"High on Candy" freebie scrap kit from Misfits Scrapz HERE.

*mask of choice

*Tube of Choice. I am using the adorable artwork of Elias Chatzoudis available for purchase at MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.

Let's Begin--

Open a 600 X 600 White Canvas
Choose a bright color from the scrap kit and set it as your foreground color, background null. Grab your rectangle shape tool, width 12, and draw out a rectangle on your canvas. Use my tag as a reference for size. Objects-Align-Center in Canvas, then convert to raster layer.
Grab your magic wand and click inside the rectangle. Selections-Modify-Expand by 2, then open a paper of choice from the scrap kit and copy/paste it onto your canvas. Selections-Invert, hit delete key. Move the paper layer below the rectangle layer.

Open your tube of choice. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize if needed.

If you want your tube to look like it's halfway inside the rectangle and halfway outside of the rectangle (like I have mine) then follow these steps:
Duplicate your tube and move the original below the rectangle layer (but still above the paper layer). Your top layer should be your tube, the second layer should be the rectangle, the 3rd layer should be your tube again, then your 4th layer should be the paper, and then your background layer.
Close off your top tube layer and, using your eraser tool, erase all parts of the bottom tube that is outside of the rectangle. Now unhide your top tube layer and erase the parts of the tube that are overlapping the actual rectangle. For example on my tube I am erasing the butt part and the feet part, but leaving the head there so it looks like the head is out of the rectangle but the rest of the tube is inside the rectangle.
Add the following drop shadow to your rectangle layer: 00,0,80,8. Add the same drop shadow to the top tube layer! Hide your background layer and merge visible.

Open notepaper1 from the kit. Copy/paste it to your canvas, resize it by 85%. Add the drop shadow, drag it below your merged layer. Using your raster deform tool, move it to the left of the rectangle/tube area on your canvas and rotate it to the left a little. Use my tag as a reference.

Open notepaper2 from the kit. Copy/paste it onto your canvas, add the drop shadow, drag it below the rectangle/tube layer, use your raster deform tool to rotate it a but to the left. Use my tag as a reference.

Open the staple from the kit. Resize it by 30%, copy/paste it onto your canvas, move it to where you think it looks best on the papers, and add the drop shadow.

Open the glitter doodle from the kit. With your background layer active, copy/paste it onto your canvas, resize by 80%, Use your raster deform tool to rotate and move the doodle where you think it would look best. Duplicate if needed to add another one somewhere else! Add the drop shadow to your doodle.

With your background layer active, add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a light color from your kit! Load mask, merge group. Apply Texture

Effects-Mosaic Antique to the mask layer, default settings!

Add any other accents from the kit or from your personal collection that you would like.

Add your name and artist copyright!

Crop and resize if needed!

Save as jpg!
