The Poisoned Apple
My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro! Supplies Needed: *Paint Shop Pro *Font of choice, I used KolkerBrush ROB * round mask of choice *"Snow White" PTU taggers kit by Cora's Creations which is available for purchase at Sophisti-Scraps. *Filter- DSB Flux Radial Noise *Tube of choice. I used the awesome artwork of Irina Grank which is available for purchase at MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so! Let's Begin-- Open a 600 X 600 white canvas. Open the broken mirror from the kit, c/p it onto your canvas, resize as needed. Open the broken glass from the kit, c/p it onto your canvas, resize it down smaller, and place it on a different spot of the mirror. Repeat this step until you have several broken places on the mirror. Open the frame that looks exactly like the mirror, c/p it onto your frame, resize it down to where it's just about the same size as the mirror, use your raster deform tool to scale the frame so that it fits perfectly on top of the mirror and you can't tell there are 2 things there. Open your tube of choice, c/p it onto your canvas, resize as needed and position where you want it in the mirror. Duplicate your tube. Move the original one below the frame layer (not the mirror layer). Close off the top copy of your tube and click on the bottom one. Use your eraser to erase the bottom part of the tube that is sticking out of the frame. Open up your top tube and click on it. Use your eraser again to erase the bottom part but just up to the inside edge of the frame. Add drop shadow and erase any part of the shadow that shows on the tube. Close off your background and merge visible the tube layers and the frame/mirror layers. Open back up your background. Open a paper of choice and copy and paste it on top of your background. Open another paper of choice that is a different color, copy and paste it on top of the other paper. Apply your mask of choice and merge group. Position the mask in the center, then go to DSB Flux Radial Noise and apply default settings. Now add any foliage that you want from the kit and place them behind the mirror, see my tag for reference. Add name and text of choice. Crop and resize as needed. Add copyright information. Right click and merge all (flatten). Go to Image, Add Borders, with these settings-- Size 1 pixel all around Color- white Symmetric checked. Click ok. Go back to Add Borders, change the numbers to 5 and the color to black, click ok. Add the exact same white border again. Save as jpg!
