Waiting For My Prince

My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro!

Supplies Needed:

*Paint Shop Pro

*Font of choice

*Tag Template 137 by Missy HERE

*Supplies HERE (includes sparkle tube and Mask 265 by Vix)

*"Material Girl" Collab by Sarah of Pimp My Tags W/ Scraps and Danielle Corbitt. The kit can be purchased HERE.

*A tube of choice. I used the gorgeous artwork of Maxine Gadd which can be purchased at MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.

Let's Begin--

Open the template in PSP. Shift+D to duplicate it and close the original. Delete the credit layer. Go to Image-Canvas Size, change the numbers to 650 and click ok. Click on the background layer and flood fill with white.

Click on the shape2 layer. Go to Selections-Select All, Float, Defloat, then click on the shape1 layer and hit your delete key. Selections-Select none. We have now made shape1 a frame around shape 2. Drag the shape1 layer above the shape2 layer.

Click on your shape2 layer. Go to Selections-Select All, Float, Defloat, open a paper of choice from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas, Selections-Invert, hit your delete key, Selections-Select None. Delete the original shape2 layer.

Repeat this for shape1 and the thin rectangles.

Open your tube. Copy and paste it onto your canvas and position it. Add drop shadow and duplicate it. Drag the duplicate below the frame layer. Close off the top copy of your tube and click on the bottom copy. Use your eraser tool to erase the parts that are sticking out of the bottom of the frame. Open back up the top copy of your tube and click on that layer. Use your eraser tool again to erase the bottom parts of the tube up the the inside edge of the bottom part of the frame. Now add a drop shadow to the frame.

Add the same drop shadow to the thin rectangles.

Open one of the gemstone borders from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it down by about 80%. Drag this layer down below your top tube layer and right on top of the frame layer. Rotate it to the left by about 5 degrees. Erase the parts that are sticking out on the sides. Now you duplicate and flip it then rotate it to the right by 5 degrees and place it along the bottom part of the frame. Duplicate it again and rotate it to the right by 90 degrees. Move it to the right side of the frame and you will need to rotate it again by 5 degrees to the left. If it starts to get too blurry from all of the rotating then you can just go to Adjust-Sharpness-Sharpen. You should get the point now and know what to do for the last side. See my tag for reference.

Open the string frame with jewels from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Drag it below your top tube layer. Position it and add drop shadow.

Open the ring tied on a bow. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Resize it down to about 70%. Move it over the the left hand side and on top of the middle thin rectangle like shown in my tag. You want it to look like it's hanging off of that rectangle. Position it then add a drop shadow. Duplicate it and drag the original down below the rectangle layer. Use your eraser tool at a small size to erase just the part of the bow that is on top of the small rectangle.

Open a paper of choice from the kit. Click on your background layer then copy and paste the paper onto your canvas. Open the mask I supplied in PSP. With the new paper layer selected, go to Layer-New Mask Layer-From Image, choose the mask from the drop down menu and click ok. On your layers palette, right click on the mask and choose merge group. Resize the mask down by about 95%.

Open the sparkle tube I supplied. Resize it down to 35%. Copy and paste it onto your canvas and position it where you want it. Duplicate it and add a few more in other places on the tube. I added my sparkles to the jewelry and hair of my tube, see my tag for reference.

Add your name or text of choice.
