Welcome Spring
My tutorials require a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro! Supplies Needed: *Paint Shop Pro *Animation Shop *Font of choice *Mask of choice *Bee Animation HERE *"Sweetest Spring" PTU Tag kit by Clarey available for purchase from Clarey's Designz HERE. Please visit Clarey's blog HERE. *Tube of choice. I used the gorgeous artwork of Elias Chatzoudis which can be purchased from MPT. Please do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so.
Let's Begin-- Open a 650 X 650 White Canvas. Open a round frame of choice from the kit. Copy and paste it onto your canvas, resize it by 90%. Click inside the frame with your magic wand, go to Selections-Modify-Expand by 4, open a paper of choice from the kit, copy and paste it onto your canvas, Selections-Invert, hit your delete key. Selections-Select None. Drag the paper layer below the frame layer. Open your tube of choice and then copy/paste it onto your canvas. Resize it if needed and add drop shadow. Duplicate it then drag the original below the frame layer. Close off the top copy of your tube and then click on the bottom tube layer. Use your eraser tool to erase the parts of the tube that are sticking out of the bottom of the frame. Open back up your top tube layer and click on it. Use your eraser tool again to erase the bottom parts of the tube all the way up to the inside bottom edge of the frame. Add drop shadow to the frame. Copy and paste a couple of flowers from the kit behind the paper layer. Add drop shadows. Copy and paste a couple of doodles from the kit behind the flowers. Resize if needed, rotate in different directions and add a slight drop shadow. Click on your background layer then copy and paste a paper of choice from the kit. Apply a mask of choice then merge group. Go to Adjust-Blur-Gaussian Blur radius 15. Then go to Effects-Texture Effects-Blinds with these settings: Width: 2 Opacity: 11 Color: Black Horizontal and Light from Left/Top both checked
Now add some "bugs" from the kit. I added a butterfly, a bee, and a lady bug. Resize to your liking, add drop shadows and position where you want! I also added a bird at the bottom, a sun with a cloud, and the "Spring" word art. There are tons of adorable little elements that can be added so be creative and make it your own :) Copy and paste the blank journal rectangle on your canvas and add your name to that like shown in my tag. Add text of choice at the bottom. I put "Welcome Spring". Crop and resize as needed. Add copyright information. Open Animation Shop. Open the bee animation I provided you in Animation shop. Go back to PSP, right click on your canvas and choose copy merged. Go back to AS. Paste as new animation. The bee animation has 12 frames, so you will need to right click and duplicate your tag animation until it has 12 frames. Now click on the first frame of your bee animation, go to Edit-Select All, then Edit-Copy. Click on the first frame of the tag animation and go to Edit-Select All, then right click and choose paste into current frame, then place the bees where you would like them and click once. If you want to add the bees again in another place all you have to do is right click again and choose paste in current frame. Play your animation to check it. Save as gif!
